CAS Service Update

Resumption of in-person conciliation conferences

Conciliation and Arbitration Services will continue the staged return of in-person hearings from 12 July 2021 to include conciliation conferences.

Final Arbitration hearings and Pre-Arbitration conferences will continue as in-person hearings.

Unless otherwise directed by the conduct Arbitrator, all directions and interlocutory hearings remain telephone hearings.

Persons permitted to attend a conciliation conference are confined to the parties (the worker or employer/insurer’s instructing officer) and one legal representative per party.

Persons attending the WorkCover WA Shenton Park office are required to sign in using the SafeWA app or hard copy register, check in with the receptionist and maintain social distancing within the lobby, waiting/break-out areas and within the conference room. Anyone feeling unwell or exhibiting cold and flu symptoms is asked to contact CAS to make alternative arrangements.
