COVID-19 CAS Services Update

Conciliation
Conciliation services are continuing uninterrupted via use of WorkCover WA online and telephone conferences. In most cases, an extension of 8 weeks will be approved by the Director Conciliation to assist parties to continue the conciliation process.

Arbitration
Arbitration services are continuing to operate. There is no facility to lodge arbitration applications or documents by email or online. New applications for arbitration and/or documents in relation to existing matters can be lodged in hard copy whilst postal and courier services remain operational and the Arbitration Service is able to process them.

All hearings, including directions hearings and pre-arbitration conferences, are by telephone. Usual arbitration case management procedures for interlocutory applications (including applications for adjournment) apply.

Settlements
Section 92(f) Deeds can be lodged via email to conciliation@workcover.wa.gov.au.

There is no facility to lodge Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) by email or online. MOAs can be lodged in hard copy whilst postal and courier services remain operational and the Conciliation Service is able to process them.

Common law related applications
Applications for extension of the termination day, to register an assessment of permanent impairment and to record an election can be lodged via email to conciliation@workcover.wa.gov.au.

Further information about conciliation and arbitration services will be provided on the WorkCover WA website as the situation changes.
