Injured workers: what are my entitlements?

In Western Australia, injured workers requiring time off are entitled to financial compensation to accommodate for lost wages, medical expenses and vocational rehabilitation.

WorkCover WA’s latest educational video, ‘Injured workers: what are my entitlements’ explains how a worker’s financial compensation is calculated, and provides tips, including advice on engaging the services of a workplace rehabilitation provider and seeking reimbursement for out of pocket expenses before a claim is approved.

The video is available on the WorkCover WA website. You can access it here, or from the Quick Access panel on the homepage.

If you have any queries about the entitlements of an injured worker, visit ‘Understanding your rights, obligations and entitlements’ page on our website, or phone our Advisory line on 1300 794 744.
