Modernising WA’s Workers Compensation Laws: have your say

The Government is seeking public submissions on the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Bill 2021 – Consultation Draft.

The draft Bill modernises WA’s workers compensation laws and is based on recommendations from WorkCover WA’s 2014 Review of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981: Final Report.

The draft Bill has been prepared for public comment before it is introduced into State Parliament, continuing WorkCover WA’s open and consultative approach on the legislative review.

WorkCover WA invites written submissions on the draft Bill for a public consultation period which will be open until 10 November 2021.

Information sessions will be held to provide stakeholders with the opportunity to understand the journey to modernise WA’s workers compensation laws, learn about the headline amendments and how to have their say. Register for an information session here.
