Occupational lung cancer research priorities

Ground-breaking research has the power to change lives. Lung Foundation Australia are seeking your thoughts on what you believe researchers should be urgently working on when it comes to occupational lung cancer. Results from this anonymous online survey will be used to identify where researchers, policymakers, and other funding bodies should be directing their attention, time, and resources.

All responses are welcome, and you can list as many questions, issues or comments as you want to. You do not have to be an expert and all responses are anonymous.

You are encouraged to complete this survey if you are:

  1. A person at significant risk of occupational lung cancer (i.e. current or former exposure to occupational lung carcinogens in the workplace) (industries such as mining and quarrying, construction, manufacturing, tunnelling transportation, etc.)
  2. A person diagnosed with or suspected of having occupational lung cancer
  3. A family member or caregiver of people impacted by occupational exposure to occupational lung carcinogens in the workplace or diagnosed with or suspected of having occupational lung cancer
  4. An employer or PCBU in an industry where workers may be exposed to occupational lung carcinogens
  5. A medical, allied or public health professional working to help people living with occupational lung diseases
  • A workplace health and safety professional, occupational hygienist, regulator, union, or worker representative etc.
  1. A researcher or academic engaged in research focused on the prevention or management of occupational lung cancer.

Every perspective matters and Lung Foundation Australia can’t do this important work without you. Please help by completing the anonymous research survey (Monash Project ID: 39219).
