Presumptive firefighter cancers – effective 10 August 2023

Amendments to the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Regulations 1982 have established a rebuttable presumption of work-related injury for 8 cancers suffered by firefighters in addition to the 12 presumptive cancers in the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981.
