Reminder – Bill consultation submissions closing soon

The public consultation period for the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Bill 2021 (Consultation Draft) closes on
10 November 2021.

If you plan on providing a submission, it is recommended you begin your submission now, so you meet the November deadline.

The draft Bill modernises WA’s workers compensation laws and is based on recommendations from WorkCover WA’s 2014 Review of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981: Final Report.

The draft Bill was released for public consultation on 11 August 2021 for a 3 month period to ensure all stakeholders have an opportunity to have their say.

A copy of the draft Bill and supporting material, as well as details about how to make a submission, can be found on the WorkCover WA website.
