Specified Cancers Contracted by Firefighters – Legislative Amendments
New legislative amendments came into effect on 21 January 2017 which expand the presumption to benefit former and current State employed firefighters who contract cancer performing firefighting duties.
A number of amendments have been made to clarify the application of the laws to current and former firefighters.
