The WorkCover WA Online Conciliation Module is available for use
The WorkCover WA Online Conciliation Service module (Conciliation module) is now available and adds another service to those already available via the WorkCover WA Online platform. The Conciliation module facilitates lodgement of an application for conciliation and supporting documents, as well as ongoing administrative management of a dispute.
The Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Conciliation Rules 2011 have been amended to support implementation of the Conciliation module. The amendments were published in the Government Gazette on Friday 2 August 2019 and can be accessed here.
The amendments commence in two stages. Stage I amendments are operational from 5 August 2019 and introduce the electronic document system (i.e. Conciliation module) which enables applications and documents to be lodged by the parties to a dispute and for the parties to have access to the information lodged in relation to a dispute. Notices issued by the Conciliation Service are also available via the Conciliation module.
Stage II amendments will be operational from 4 November 2019 and make use of the Conciliation module mandatory for
non-exempt parties along with other amendments for the smooth operation of online services. Unrepresented workers and uninsured employers are exempt parties but will be encouraged to use the Conciliation module wherever possible.
Before Stage II amendments become operational, conciliation service users can choose to lodge an Application for Conciliation (Form 100) offline however all users are encouraged to use the Conciliation module. All applications, associated documents, notices and subsequent responses lodged during the transition period will be made available online via the Conciliation module.
Applications for conciliation received before 5 PM on Friday 2 August 2019 will continue to be managed offline.
WorkCover WA Online can be accessed by clicking this link or visiting the WorkCover WA home page and using the Quick Access menu on the left hand side of the page.
