We have arrived

After years of anticipation, and months of intensive preparations across the scheme, the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 came into effect today.  The Act is the culmination of over a decade of consultation and review, and represents a comprehensive rewrite of the existing laws to provide the necessary clarity for all stakeholders.

Since its passing through Parliament in October 2023, we have been rigorously engaging with our stakeholders about the introduction of the Act.  As a result, we are confident the Western Australian workers compensation scheme is ready to move forward together to deliver even better results for the community.
